We carry Talavera pottery that is suitable for indoors or outdoors. Each piece is not produced by a machine, but hand-painted and unique. So, expect some amount of variance in each product. In colder climates, it should be taken indoors during winter to prevent cracking. Our inventory changes often as new shapes,designs and colors become available.

Talavera is unique pottery that is produced in Mexico. Each piece is drawn by hand and hand-painted, making each a special work of art. It comes in many shapes and forms; from animals, insects, jars, and plates to the more typical planter shapes and sizes.
Mexican craftsmen have been producing this pottery since the 16th century. Much like Each piece has vibrant colors, which are considered a trademark of Talavera pottery. It is fired at extremely high temperatures, making it a very durable product. It will not fade in the sun, and since the paints are baked on, the paint will not flake off. If used as a planter, the soil will hold moisture longer than terra cotta pottery and other types of pottery that are not fired.
